Giveaway :)

Hi all :)

Yes you read correct; I'm hosting a giveaway.. I know I've said I'm not the biggest fan of giveways and some months ago I mentioned I wanted to do a nail art contest, but time has run away from me and there's not much more than a month until I'm in the biiig USA :) So a giveaway it is!

This is kind of a 'thank you' to you guys for sticking with me even though I post very sporadic and kind of an apology in advance, because it's going to be even more sporadic when I'm in the US ;)

So I'm going to keep it simple.. You have one way to enter and it is by leaving a blogpost comment with the following info:
  • How you follow Swååfie (GFC, RSS, whatevs)
  • Your email, so I can contact you if you win
  • Your blog adress (if you have one)
  • A comment about what you want to see more on this blog :) (This is just a way for me to see what you guys like - your wish probably won't come true, but maybe I'll get a good idea and incorporate new stuff)
  • PLEASE leave only one comment on this post - that'll make it easier for me ;)
I'll pick the winner with some kind of random method - either random.org or someway else..
It's open internationally :) Since I don't have much time before I leave it will only run for a short period of time - until July 18th (as long as it's the 18th somewhere in the world). I'll pick the winner when possible, and the winner then has 48 hours to answer or I'll pick a new one..

Oh and you are interested in what the prize is? Oh well, okay, I'll tell you :)
Collection 2000: Moonlight Shine (Awesome for stamping!), Inca Silver, Hello Sailer.
Gosh: Sweet Peach and Green Hawaii
H&M Ocean Sand and Blue Wave (looks awesome over a darker color!)
Essen In Style TE Style me holo (duochrome!)

These are all brand new and are purchased by me =)

If you have a question don't hesitate to post a comment (even though I said only one comment per person) :)

I'm looking forward to your comments =)
Have fun and take care!

Mixmixmix...?

Hi all :)

I couldn't get any good pics of this mani.. First of all the colors are all wrong.. And my hands looks like.. yeah.. But I'll still show you a few, 'cause I liked this mani.. It was colorful but still subtle..

And I keep trying getting a pic of both hands to show how I mix them up, but I haven't mastered that technique yet :p haha

Here's two close-ups; one from an almost color accurate phone pic (left) and one from my camera (right). Quite a big difference, right? So imagine this mani with the color scheme to the left :p

And the involved:
Ask if you wanna know any names :)
I don't know if you noticed, but I've changed my watermark a bit and made it smaller.. I felt it was taking up too much space..

I hope you're all doing fine =)

A dented gradient..

Hi all :)

This is a gradient a did a couple of weeks ago.. Of course I ended up denting it before I got a picture, so here's one with dents ;) I got a ton of compliments on this and I really loved it myself!

And a close-up..

This mani did evolve, since I wore it when visiting my boyfriend and after a couple of days with chips I stamped on top of it and did some 'cloudy-ish' tips to hide the chips.. But I didn't remember to take photos of that..

I used some of those Wet'N'Wild fast dry polishes named after tv-shows, gameshows and stuff.. Yes, I'm too lazy to figure out their real names, bu I'll do it if you want me o ;)

Not more from me today!

Have fun and take care =)

Mixed up pink and turquoise for my mom...

Hi all :)

Last night we celebrated my mom's birthday even though it isn't for another month.. I did nails in the colors I see my mom wearing most often: Pink and turquoise :)

I got a ton of compliments on these! Especially the 'ruffle' nails (Thank you Sarah, for the tutorial!)

A shot with both my hands - I love to mix it up on both hands!

Close-ups, so you can see all the imperfections ;)

The involved:
Ask if you wanna know any names ;)
I loved wearing this! So bright =)

Hopefully it won't be this long until I post again ;)

Have fun and take care!

Artsy Wednesday - 3D: Blocks...?

Hi all :)

Thanks for your nice comments on my last post - I relly do enjoy my summer break :) I finally get to see the BF more and I'm getting through all the paper work that comes with my next semester as an exchange student ;) Oh yes, I'm going to the US, Maryland to be exact, to study for a semester! I can't stop thinking about all the cheap, awesome polishes that I can buy! haha.. Besides all the polishes, it's going to be an awesome experience!

Enough of that, on to the mani!

Today's topic is 3D (stick things on) so I wanted to use some of the square rhinestones I have.. I didn't do a very good job placing them, but I think they turned out okay..

But I really did love the combo of polishes (especially matte) so the rhinestones didn't stay on for long and I just kept the base colors with small holes and dents from were the rhinestones were placed. Well, they wouldn't hold up for long anyway and would get caught in everything!

Here's the base colors..

And a shot with my thumb too..

Close-ups (although one of them sucks).. I really love this glitter so much and I'm so happy I got my hands on it.. :)
The involved:
Nubar Citadel and L.A. Colors Color Craze Jewel Tone and rhinestones!

Check out the other 3D manis :)

I know I'm not posting often. it is only a week since I got a vacation, so I'm still busy with bits and pieces (like my semester in US ;))..That's why I'm sad to announce that this is my last week participating in Artsy Wednesday! From now on I will be busy travelling between my home, my BF and my parents, so I won't be able to plan my manis.. I've really enjoyed being part of this challenge, but now I must part with it an leave room for a new member :) I will of course still be blogging :)

Have fun and take care =)

Artsy Wednesday - Inspired by your favourite color: Green for environmentalism!

Hi all :)

I did it! I actually made it this time! I really didn't thought I would, but we finished our paper a bit before planned, yeeaah! That means that I have my summer break now! yesyesyes!! hah..

Well I really wanted to do this week's challenge, I had this idea immediately.. My fave color is green.. And green is so very often associated with environmentalism and such.. So this is what my fave color inspired me to do:

Much of this is inspired by my Tokidoki toilet bag that I bought a long time ago, just for it's inspirational look..

Check out the other lovely ladies' fave color inspired mani:

And thanks for all your lovely comments! They mean a lot and I DO read them, even though I don't respond to them.. I'm just so behind in everything.. I am now at 640 unread blogposts in my Google Reader ;) haha

Now I'm ready to spend some time with my boyfriend, and away from my computer - my eyes hurt a lot after staring into the screen all day long for so may days in a row!

Have fun and take care =)
